Sometimes you find a nice, new theme.

Sometimes you install that nice, new theme, and there are some repercussions. For example, your past posts will stop looking how they’re supposed to, particularly when it comes to images. Recently a change in template on Blogger Babes had all our featured images out of line, and we were forced to manually edit the size of our images on over 30 posts to keep our layout looking neat.

Going through the back end and finding each post to edit was hassle enough. Opening those posts, clicking on each image in the editor, pulling down the menu, selecting “custom size”, typing new dimensions, etc, was just too complicated.

Luckily, there’s a shortcut for changes like this: just editing the HTML. Instead of using the Visual editor, we swapped to Text:

HTML looks confusing, but sometimes it’s less trouble than it looks. Having basic knowledge will definitely help you in the long haul.

Here, we just typed our desired dimensions into the image tag, hit save, and voilà! A simple solution to our otherwise daunting task. Hopefully this quick tip is helpful and makes menial, mechanical tasks a little more manageable for you ladies, too.
